I’ve enjoyed traveling in the Alps for 8 years now. Summer skiing on Les 2 Alpes, annual trips to Chamonix, moving between valleys by train and chasing good snow. Somewhere along the way I turned into the person who’s always digging around, online, in books, magazines, wherever, looking for the best places to go with the best conditions, and the spots that aren’t overrun with crowds.
Bonjour Alps grew out of that habit. I wanted somewhere to put together what I was finding: practical guides on getting around, when to go, and destination breakdowns for towns and resorts across Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Slovenia. I care about the same things when I travel that I try to write about here. Good quality over hype, a bit more local, a bit less crowded.
I’m still working through the list of places one by one, and this site keeps growing alongside it. If you’re planning your own trip into the Alps, I hope something here points you in a good direction.
